How RideGauge works

From vehicle details to a smarter deal.

Four steps. VIN or year / make / model, the facts of the deal, local context, then a number you can actually use at the handshake.

01

Enter the vehicle

Use a 17-character VIN for an NHTSA decode, or pick year, make, and model from the live catalog. Motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs are classified automatically.

02

Add the deal details

Mileage or hours, condition, ZIP, asking price, and whether the seller is a dealer or private party. The ZIP maps to a real city so the number is local, not national.

03

See the market around you

Comparable model listings in your area sit next to a fair-value range. Until a live inventory feed is connected, comps are modeled from that range and labeled honestly.

04

Make a smarter move

Opening offer, target price, walk-away ceiling, known issues, owner complaints, and model-level recalls — a buying plan, not a single sticker guess.

Fair-value range

A practical band from the machine, the hours, condition, and ZIP — not a national average pretending to be local.

Known issues

Model-specific inspection notes plus NHTSA owner complaints and recalls when the year/make/model has them.

Walk-away number

A ceiling so emotion does not finish the deal. If the ask sits above it, the next comparable will be there tomorrow.
